This special session focuses on the frontier issues of structural risk assessment, resilience improvement and sustainable development of engineering structures under disaster loads, closely combining core research directions such as structural reliability, uncertainty quantification and structural dynamics. Taking typical disaster conditions including earthquakes and strong winds as the research background, it explores the structural disaster mechanism, risk identification and quantitative evaluation methods, and devotes to the construction of structural resilience evaluation system and the research and development of resilience enhancement technologies, while meeting the safety, durability and low-carbon sustainability demands of engineering structures in the whole life cycle. It aims to gather domestic and international experts and scholars to exchange the latest theories, methods and engineering practical achievements in structural disaster prevention, risk control, resilience design and sustainable engineering application, and discuss industry challenges and future research trends, providing an academic platform for improving the disaster prevention and mitigation capacity of engineering structures and promoting the green and sustainable high-quality development of civil engineering.
